Full disclosure, the SolaWave Red Light Wand was sent to me as a gift and I was super skeptical even before it arrived. I love me a skin device but have found that many of them simply do not work. Let’s just say that if I didn’t love the SolaWave I wouldn’t be taking the time to post about it on my blog. After 2 weeks of using it every morning I can say that my skin looks smoother, brighter, lifted and more hydrated!
It’s not one of those extreme before & afters but after about a week of use I noticed how much better my skin looked! I was shocked, this little device packs a punch. First of all, it’s easy and fun to use. I can’t stress enough that with these types of devices it takes consistency, meaning you use it 3-4 times a week. The sleek design allows you to glide it all over your face and neck and get into those small tight areas like under the eye, the temples and around your mouth. I also love that it’s a 4-in-1 tool delivering microcurrent, red light therapy, a facial massage and therapeutic warmth. Plus the price is a huge selling point, at $149 it’s affordable!
If you’re expecting a huge transformation, this device is not as powerful as going to a professional dermatologist and as a lover of my ZIIP microcurrent device, the SolaWave doesn’t give the same kind of dramatic “lift” but for the price, ease of use and the fact that my skin looked better after a week of use it’s definitely a must have. Also while not required, they have a Renew Complex Serum that increases the depth and uniformity of the micro current treatment. It’s a great duo but I found that I like using my own oils and serums for the time being.
To use, I wash my face, apply a serum and run the SolaWave over my face and neck for 3-5 mins. You’ll start to feel it getting warmer and you actually won’t want to stop! Use upward strokes and concentrate around the mouth, cheekbones, around the eyes up to the temples, between the brows, and the forehead. I like to do about 10 upward strokes along the side of me neck as well. Afterwards, I apply the rest of my skincare products and behold the glow!
