Amy Komorowski
New York City has been my home for 20 years. I’m a mom, wife and celebrity men’s groomer living in Brooklyn. My first home is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I dreamt of living an exciting life like Kermie in “Muppets Take Manhattan.” After graduating from Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School with a Broadcast Journalism degree, I decided to move to the Big Apple where I got my start… as a waitress.
Luckily the story doesn’t end there and within a couple of years I was working at VH1 as a television producer. The great thing about New York is that it really is a place where you can make a brand new start of it. So I decided to quit my job as a producer and follow my dream of becoming a makeup artist/hair stylist. That fateful decision has led to two decades of successful collaboration with some of the most talented and dynamic directors, photographers, actors, musicians, publicists and agents. Clients include Justin Timberlake, Tom Hanks, Ben Stiller, Nick Jonas, Adam Driver, John Krasinski, Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, Willem Dafoe…and I can’t even believe I get to do this for a living.
Everyday is a new adventure as I get to travel the world with my clients and get them ready for press, red carpet premieres, and photo shoots. I started this blog as an outlet for my other interests such as photography, design and mommy stuff.
